My Top 4 Essential Oil Roller Bottles

Updated: Jul 13, 2021

Essential oils play a big part in my everyday life. As I have worked to eliminate toxins and lead a more eco friendly life, my use of essential oils has grown. Today I am going to share my top 4 essential oil roller bottles. One is a wellness roller, one aids in digestive support, the third is for sleep support and the final roller is for sore muscles. A roller bottle is basically a method to be able to apply oils topically to the skin so that you may inhale and absorb their benefits. These recipes are intended for adult usage based on the amount of oil used. I typically stay around 15 drops of essential oil per 10ml roller bottle which is in line with the Tisserand dilution recommendations. For these recipes you will need four 10ml roller bottles, a carrier oil(I use fractionated coconut oil) and Digize, Lemon, Peppermint, PanAway, Lavender, Cedarwood, Thieves, Frankincense and Vanilla(optional) essential oils.

  1. Wellness Roller - For this roller you will add 6-7 drops of Thieves and Frankincense essential oils and 2-3 drops of Lemon essential oil and then top off with your carrier oil. I pick all three of these oils based on their ability to support the immune system. Apply this roller one to two times a day down your neck and the base of your spine and on the bottoms of your feet.

  2. Tummy Roller - For this roller you will add 6-7 drops of Digize and Lemon and 2-3 drops of Peppermint essential oil to your roller bottle and then top off with a carrier oil. Digize is a great oil blend for all things digestive and includes tarragon, ginger, peppermint, lemongrass, anise and patchouli. Peppermint is also great for an upset stomach. Lemon can help aid in digestion as it is high in antioxidants and is thought to reduce inflammation, so the three together make for a great digestive support roller. Apply roller in a circular motion around your belly button one to two times a day for digestive support or whenever your gut is feeling out of whack.

  1. Dream Roller. This roller is for sleep support. For this roller add 7-8 drops of Lavender and Cedarwood and 2-3 drops Vanilla essential oil and top of with your carrier oil. The Vanilla is optional in this recipe. I like the sweet note it adds but the roller works just as well without it. Apply this roller nightly on your forearms and temples(avoid eye area) and on the bottoms of your feet. Cedarwood and Lavender are known for their calming and grounding qualities making them perfect for a sleep support roller.

  2. Sore Muscle Roller - This is not one I use everyday but sure is nice to have already made up when you need it! For this roller you will add 8 drops PanAway, 5 drops Frankencinse and 2-3 drops Peppermint to your roller bottle and then top off with a carrier oil. Rub this over the sore muscle 2 to 3 times as needed. PanAway is a blend of Clove, Helichrysum, Peppermint and Wintergreen. These oils have cooling and anti inflamatory properties along with Frankincense which is also known for it's anti inflamatory properties making these oils perfect for sore muscles. I especially like to use this roller on the sides of my neck when I have been sitting at my computer all day and my neck starts to tighten up.

These 4 rollers are a great place to get started with essential oils. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.
