How To Make A Lemon Sugar Scrub Two Ways

Sugar scrubs are a great way to not only exfoliate your skin but to moisturize it as well. They are also super simple and affordable to make. Today I am going to share two ways that you can make a lemon sugar scrub, the traditional sugar scrub you scoop out and apply to your skin and a sugar scrub bar. Each method has their pros and cons. The traditional sugar scrub is a more vigorous exfoliator but leaves you with a mess to clean up in your shower or bath after you use it vs. the sugar scrub bar which offers a little less exfoliating power but there is no oily mess to clean up afterwards. I tend to switch off between the two.

For the traditional sugar scrub you will need:

1 Cup of White Sugar

1/4 Sweet Almond Oil

1 TSP Dried Lemon Peel

1 tsp Vitamin E Oil

10 Drops Lemon Essential Oil

5 Drops Jade Lemon Essential Oil(or you can use all lemon essential oil if you don't have jade lemon)

For the sugar scrub bar you will need:

4oz Clear Melt and Pour

Yellow Soap Colorant

1/4 Coconut Oil

1 tsp Vitamin E Oil

20-30 Drops Lemon Essential Oil

10-15 Drops Jade Lemon Essential Oil(or you can use all lemon essential oil if you don't have jade lemon)

1 Cup White Sugar

Silicone Mold

Microwave Safe Container

Follow the steps in the video below to make your sugar scrubs:

These scrubs also make great gifts. Just be sure to put the traditional scrub in an air tight container and I would suggest shrink wrapping the sugar scrub bars to avoid any dew forming.
