All Natural DIY Cuticle Oil

Updated: Jul 18, 2021

If you tend to have dry cracked cuticles or are looking for ways to extend the life of your manicure, I have a great all natural DIY cuticle oil for you! For this recipe you will need a 10m roller bottle, shea oil and Lemon, Lavender, Tea Tree and Frankincense essential oils. Grapefruit, Geranium and Rosemary are also great for nails and could be subbed in for any of the other oils I use in this recipe.

Shea oil is a rich moisturizing oil much like it’s counterpart, shea butter. Making it perfect for treating dry, damaged cuticles especially with all the extra hand washing that is now a part of our daily lives. Lavender & Frankincense are both deeply soothing and hydrating essential oils making them perfect for testing dry damaged cuticles and Tea Tree is known for both it’s antifungal and antiseptic properties which makes it a great choice for keeping your cuticles free of any sort of bacteria or fungus that may be present if your cuticles are inflamed. To make this roller simply add 2-3 drops of all three essential oils into your 10ml roller bottle and then top off with the shea oil. If you aren’t able to find the shea oil you could substitute a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil instead. Once you have everything combined in your roller bottle, just give it a shake and it is ready to apply to your cuticles. Not only will it keep your cuticles happy and healthy but it also helps with keeping your nail polish from chipping down by your cuticle so that your manicure, be it salon or DIY will last longer:)
