All Natural All Purpose Balm

Updated: Jul 17, 2021

Today, I am sharing one of my favorite natural DIY's. It is an all purpose balm that I use for dry skin & minor scraps, cuts and burns. Think Neosporin but all natural:) This balm should of course not be used in the place of medical treatment for more serious issues. For this balm I use 1/4 cup of coconut oil, 1 Tablespoon of beeswax & 1 teaspoon of grapeseed oil along with 8 drops of Tea Tree essential oil & 7 drops each of Lavender & Lemon essential oils. Young Living is my essential oil supplier of choice as all of their oils are backed by the seed to seal guarantee and are pure oils with no fillers. Click here to become a Young Living member and shop their products. The coconut oil helps soothe redness and moisturize skin and grapeseed oil is chock full of vitamin e so it will help protect skin, lock in moisture & soothe inflammation. The beeswax helps with the texture of the balm. Lavender, Lemon & Tea Tree essential oils all have antiseptic, antimicrobial & antibacterial properties & Tea Tree & Lemon also have antifungal properties making for a perfect trio of oils for this all purpose balm.

To make the balm:

  1. Add 1/4 cup coconut oil, 1 Tablespoon Beeswax & 1 teaspoon of grapeseed oil to a heat safe container & melt over low heat.

  2. Once melted, remove from heat & add in your 8 drops of Tea Tree essential oil & 7 drops each of Lavender & Lemon Essential Oils. Stir to combine.

3. Now you are going to pour the mixture into two 1 oz tins(or container of choice).

4. Allow mixture to cool completely and it is ready to use. Store in a cool dry location and the balm will be good to use for up to 6 months after you make it.
